Shh unveils concepts for Mayfair bed-bar

Shh has unveiled concepts for Aura, a bed-bar scheduled to open in London’s Mayfair in mid-January. Designed to cater for fans of ‘horizontal bar culture’, Aura will be an upmarket restaurant by day. By night, however, tables will morph into soft leather beds accommodating several people at once and the lighting will become more subdued, says Shh head of retail division, Steve Crummack. Shh has completed all the design work for Aura. The concept is set to roll out nationwide to around 18 outlets over the next three years, each one with a different look, he adds.
