Thumb wins new group’s identity job

Design group Thumb has been appointed to develop the corporate identity for planned new information and publishing group Informa.

Thumb had previously created the name for the group, which will be created by the merger of information group IBC and Lloyd’s List publisher LLP.

Thumb has carried out previous projects for IBC, which were aimed at better communicating what it did. “Part of our long-term vision was to generate a new name,” says Thumb director of optimisation Simon Carter. “Informa communicates the established values and essence of the new business and at the same time clearly describes what the new company does,” he adds.
