Experience Nottingham tomorrow unveils branding for the city and Nottinghamshire County, developed by local consultancy Purple Circle.
The branding has been in development for 12 months, during which time a range of public and private sector groups has become involved. The identity is part of Greater Nottingham Partnership’s investment in tourism, leisure and culture.
The project was worth £120 000 to Purple Circle, which collaborated with the city’s Image and Branding Panel to provide strategy consultation and design services.
‘The logo element has been kept as simple as possible to enable ease of application across different media,’ says consultancy managing director Michael Slack.
A library of photographic images references the strong ‘N’-shape in the primary logos. ‘Subtlety is key [in the photography], so that the shots don’t look too contrived,’ adds Slack.
