Fleming commits sartorial faux pas

As a well-dressed individual, Shelton Fleming managing director Maurice Fleming was a little bemused when he was refused entry to the Institute of Directors last week. Sporting smart casualwear, Fleming was told he could not carry out his research at the IOD library as he had suede shoes on. But as an IOD spokesman says: ‘The dress code is jacket and tie or a suit. Shoes must be smart and no trainers. If someone has been turned away once, they’ll be turned away again.’ You’ve been warned Mr Fleming.
