The shop in the Sainsbury Wing of the National Gallery is to have a new retail format designed by 20/20 Design & Strategy Consultants. The group beat Crabtree Hall/Plan Creatif and Rodney Fitch in a credentials pitch.
As well as increasing the store’s area by 40m2, catering for an extended merchandise range is central to 20/20’s concept. The new range of goods will include jewellery and textiles.
Due to open next spring, the new format will ‘be in keeping with the personality of the gallery’, says 20/20 development director Yaron Meshoulam.
