Full gear ahead for motor show stands

Consultancies are gearing up for this year’s London Motor Show which takes place at Earls Court from 9 to 20 October. Many of the car manufacturers’ stands will get a first run at the Frankfurt show from 14 September.

This year the London Motor Show has an identity designed by marketing consultancy Aspen Business Communications. Design Narrative is designing exterior and interior signage and banners for the show.

Imagination is again designing Ford’s stand. No design details are being released ahead of the show, but it is likely that Ford will continue to exhibit on a grander scale than its rivals. The consultancy is also designing Ford’s stand for Frankfurt.

Furneaux Stewart continues its run of motor show work for Rolls Royce and Porsche. Described by the consultancy’s exhibition designer Quentin Jay as a “development” from last year, the Rolls Royce stand will be at Frankfurt.

Furneaux Stewart is project- managing Porsche’s stand for the London show. The consultancy has designed the stand in the past but this year it is being brought over from the German manufacturer’s headquarters.

And the consultancy has added a notable third commission this year; it is designing a stand for Lamborghini.

Box Design continues its work for Aston Martin with a stand at London and Frankfurt, and further shows in Tokyo, Sydney and Dubai.

And Barsby Prince & Partners is designing Daewoo’s 600m2 stand. The consultancy designed Daewoo’s first UK showing at last year’s Birmingham show.
