Interior and furniture designer John Osborn has designed a seat intended to ridicule French President Jacques Chirac over the resumption of nuclear bomb testing in the South Pacific. Chaise

J Chirac is made from a reconditioned steel barrel painted in the yellow associated with nuclear waste drums. The frosted green acrylic seat is illuminated by a light source in the base. The overall effect is of a ruptured drum still containing a green waste. Already being used in Milan’s fashionable Atomic Bar, the seat is available to order from Osborn, who is half of the young Milan-based design team No Gravity. His partner is Sean Ryan.
