Glasgow’s premier division football clubs Rangers and Celtic will have the front covers of all their programmes for home-leg European matches designed by local consultancies. The idea is the brainchild of Glasgow Development Agency design executive Adrian Searle. Depending on how well the clubs do in the competition, they could need up to 14 home programmes. GDA drew up a mix of young and established consultancies after a credentials pitch. Tank and Quorum have created the first Celtic and Rangers covers respectively working to an open brief. Pointsize and 999 are lined up to create the next designs. The other eight groups listed are Graven Images, Randak, Cactus, Blue Peach, Locofoco, Curious Oranj, Pure, Gardiner Russell, The Edge and Map.Ref.
Tango has designed an innovative invitation for a Dockers UK promotion for the launch of the new film Men in Black this month. Customers for the Levi Strauss & Co division were sent the heat-sensitive invitation. By placing a hand over the invitation, the location of the private screening of the film is revealed.
