Design Museum chair for Arnold
The Design Museum has appointed former Abbey chief executive Luqman Arnold (pictured right) as chairman. Arnold replaces James Dyson, who left last autumn following a spat over curatorial direction (DW 30 September 2004).
Arnold oversaw the Wolff Olins-led revamp of the Abbey brand in 2003 (DW 2 October 2003), but left when the bank was sold to Santander in November 2004. He currently acts as an advisor to Santander.
He has a financial services background, previously holding senior roles at UBS AG, Banque Paribas and Credit Suisse First Boston.
