Brief

If you’re into illustration, feeling ruff and in need of a bit of cheer, head down to the Royal College of Art and view the work of entrants to this year’s Association of Illustrators’ annual competition. Entitled Images 21, the show features more than 100 of the 1000-plus entries, including Bernice Lum’s work (pictured). This year’s overall winner in all seven categories is Paul Slater, who receives 600. Accompanying the exhibition and featuring the work of a further 100 entrants is the Images annual, free for all commissioning clients and 19.99 to everyone else. Images 21 runs at the RCA in London until 7 November and will then tour the country.
