Police! Camera! Action!

Lumsden Design Partnership’s Lloyd Blakey’s beloved Morris Minor convertible was stolen back in February.

Then what should Lloyd spy last month, while in Callum’s Alfa Romeo, but his Minor, on London’s Embankment. Callum does a Starsky and Hutch-style U-turn and sets off in pursuit as Lloyd gets on a mobile to the real cops.

A fairly low-speed chase ensued in which Callum had to follow the motor all the way to Hammersmith and on to the M4. It was only after 45 minutes that the cops appeared, blue lights flashing, to pull the Minor over.

Turns out the blokes in the Morris weren’t exactly the criminal type. They’d bought the car legit off someone else. Now Lloyd faces a somewhat convoluted process to get it back.

But hey, it was all very exciting. So exciting that Callum forgot all about that important meeting he was supposed to be at while doing The Bill impersonations.
