Sorrell calls for London festival

John Sorrell, co-founder of The Sorrell Foundation, has called for a London design festival to celebrate the capital’s prowess as a creative city.

‘A major international design festival would be an inspiration to ourselves, a boost to our overseas image and a major business opportunity,’ he says.

Sorrell sees the festival as a collaborative venture between various design organisations.

Sorrell mooted the idea last week in his presentation for the Theo Crosby Memorial Lecture at London’s Globe Theatre.
