Pink Floyd and flying pigs over Battersea

The UK design industry showed its inspirations last week. A DW competition to win copies of a famous Pink Floyd poster signed by artist Storm Thorgerson was massively oversubscribed.

The connection between Pink Floyd and Battersea Power Station is that the band suspended an inflatable pig over the landmark for the cover of the Animals album. Bad luck to all those who failed, and congratulations to the winners: Nick Pettit of London, Duncan Shea-Simonds of Leicester and Julien Paxton of Harrogate. If only as much energy was spent chasing business…
