Gulf insurers seek team for identity programme

The Arab Insurance Group (ARIG) is looking for a design consultancy to develop and implement a new corporate identity programme.

One of the leading insurance companies in the Gulf, ARIG intends to expand beyond its reinsurance work to sell insurance to consumers in the Middle East.

Its existing client base is fellow insurance companies and brokers, which it has addressed through business-to-business literature. But ARIG recognises that its move into wider markets necessitates a repositioning of the group.

The project is likely to involve identity solutions for new subsidiaries, branding exercises for insurance products – including new literature – and an identity overhaul for the group itself.

Formed in 1980 and showing 1995 profits of 25m, ARIG’s head offices are in Bahrain, with branches in Tunis and Hong Kong, plus a subsidiary in London, ARIG Insurance Company.

An ARIG spokesman says candidates will be sifted via criteria which include international experience, previous financial work and an understanding of Arab culture and business.

“We are definitely not looking for someone to instantly come up with a solution,” he says.
