BGA to rebrand NTL

Basten Greenhill Andrews has won the job to create a new worldwide identity for telecoms giant NTL. BGA beat off competition from Landor Associates, Browns, Luxon Carr and Lambie-Nairn@The Brand Union (DW 22 January).

Meanwhile, Landor, Lambie-Nairn and Pittard Sullivan are pitching to create brand identity of NTL Interactive. Interbrand Newell and Sorrell is currently generating a name for the arm.

NTL, a US company which operates out of the UK, offers business and residential telephony, residential cable and Internet services in six major UK regions. The new corporate identity is to launch in May.

‘Working together we will explore the current look and feel of NTL’s corporate identity and ensure it reflects our position,’ says NTL director of group marketing Mike Hounsell of BGA’s plans.
