Shortlist for Jerwood Prize

A shortlist of British jewellers for the Jerwood Applied Arts Prize 2000 has been announced by the Jerwood Charitable Foundation and the Crafts Council. This year the exhibition, at the Crafts Council Gallery, takes place from the 14 September to 29 October, with the winner being decided on 25 September.

Those shortlisted are Jane Adam for her experiments with industrial strength aluminium; Cynthia Cousins for her exploration of two- and three- dimensional form; Elizabeth Callinicos for her work with the human form; brooch-maker Jack Cunningham; and Naomi Filmer for her work with the fashion industry.

Other nominees are Maria Hanson, Dorothy Hogg, Jacqueline Mina, Adam Paxon and Christoph Zellweger.
