Visit Britain has appointed Bell Design and Communications following a nine-way pitch to develop a summer campaign to promote holiday destinations in England.
Called Family Fun, at the heart of the campaign will be a map featuring icons and characters highlighting key family attractions, destinations and accommodation located in each of England’s nine regions.
The map will be supported by a website, also designed by Bell Design and Communications, which will provide greater detail and more information on the destinations. It will be an interactive version of the map, explains Ian Allison, creative director at Bell. A website address is still being decided.
The map will be distributed in key retail outlets, such as petrol stations. The campaign will launch to coincide with the start of the school summer holidays.
Earlier this year, Start Creative was appointed to redesign Visit Britain’s 41 international-version websites, following a four-way pitch (DW 9 February).
