Tim Pyne has been appointed by National Boat Shows as creative director of The London Boat Show, with a brief to develop the company’s 2007 event.
Pyne, who is also consultant creative director for 100% Design, formally agreed the appointment at the beginning of this week.
He says he will develop a ‘new dialogue’ between exhibitors and visitors to the show, which will be held from 5-14 January 2007 at ExCeL in Canary Wharf.
He is also hoping to engage exhibitors and audiences in mutual learning and knowledge-sharing in a ‘more contemporary’ event, balancing education and entertainment in the show’s designs.
The 2007 event will also aim to enthuse new audiences, including children and families, in the run-up to the London Olympics in 2012, he adds.
