‘If this [job] doesn’t work, I’m going to the US,’ Kate Irving told DW shortly after joining marketing services group Chambers Culross Barrow in March this year.

Now, like magician Paul Daniels and boxer Frank Bruno who promised to emigrate if Labour won the General Election, she has failed to live up to her word. Irving has since left CCB and surfaced as managing director at graphics group Tank.

Let’s hope it cures her itchy feet. She had joined CCB after leaving Plume when it was acquired by The Attik. Her tenure there had lasted less than a year, as had a brief spell as joint chief executive of Rodney Fitch & Co.
