SAS breakaways start up brand consultancy

Two recently departed directors from Stocks Austin Sice have set up their own consultancy to deliver brand communications across a range of disciplines.

Salterbaxter has been formed by SAS client services director Nigel Salter and design head Penny Baxter. They have experience in corporate literature, corporate identity and multi-media design.

“We are aiming to build a business which provides ideas, strategic thinking and creativity,” says Salter. “The aim will be to avoid being limited to working in traditional disciplines. Increasingly clients are calling for a wider range of skills and the ability to manage and deliver brand communications across various media from events to Internet sites, and this is where our strength lies.”

Salter says there is a “swathe of very similar consultancies” in the corporate literature market. “We’re not going to operate in the same market which we’ve been working in.”

The London-based duo is already working on a corporate identity for an unnamed client and expects to take on more staff by the end of this year.
