Vaughan Oliver and All of Us have collaborated to promote the latest collection for Sam Roddick’s luxury erotica brand Coco de Mer.
Oliver, a former 4AD record designer, was appointed to create the brand’s Book of Inspiration, a lavishly produced 22-page brochure featuring stories and sex tips, while promoting the company’s adult products.
The book features large-format Polaroid photography by John Midgley, designed to invoke the ‘aura and mystique of the 1920s’, says a Coco de Mer spokeswoman.
All of Us has redesigned the website, www.coco-de-mer.co.uk, which features transgressive imagery and stories.
The consultancy aimed to recreate the brand’s ‘theatrical approach to retail’, and to represent the ‘fresh, honest and naughty nature’ of its Covent Garden boutique, says All of Us projects director Nick Cristea.
A US version of the site is scheduled to launch in spring at a new, as yet unconfirmed address.
