Jigsaw Junior set to launch

Jigsaw Junior, the stand-alone children’s fashion chain, will launch this month in Richmond-upon-Thames with interiors by the Hugo Tugman Partnership, not by John Pawson as suggested last week (DW 28 February).

The store is next door to an existing Jigsaw womenswear outlet. They will be connected by an interior door. Further Jigsaw Junior stores are set to open in Manchester and Glasgow. Sites in Copenhagen and at London’s Brompton Cross are under consideration, says Jigsaw visual coordinator Andrew Martin.

The consultancy is also developing a new interiors concept for fashion chain Kookai. It will go “on-site” at the chain’s Sloane Square store in London this April, ready for a May opening.

A development of the design installed by Tugman in the Liverpool branch of Kookai last year, it will include contrasting black and white features to reflect the retailer’s strong graphic identity. The Sloane Square store is also to convert its basement to retail use.
