Travel Inn on a corporate edge

Leading hotel chain Travel Inn has launched a new logo and rebranded the company in an effort to develop the UK market, after research found that its identity was “cold and unwelcoming”.

Designed by Corporate Edge, the new moon and star logo will be applied to all signs, stationery, literature, website guide and uniforms across the company’s 215 Travel Inns by this October.

Corporate Edge head of marketing Jonathan Hall claims the new logo “transcends consumers’ concerns about Travel Inn being a quality offer with good service, sizeable rooms and clean towels”.

Describing the design, he says, “The moon suggest relaxation while the face is warm and friendly, reflecting the company’s personality. The colour is also distinctive in a market place which predominantly uses blue.”

Another element of Travel Inn’s rebranding is the introduction of Travel Inn Metro a location-led project whereby new buildings will be strategically placed in city centres and close to regional airports for increased convenience.
