Confusing computing and design skills

In reference to Richard Crow’s letter (DW 31 October), he is indeed a “self-trained oik”. He believes that despite not having a days training in his life and earning 100 000 pa, justifies his right to be called a designer.

It’s more likely that he’s confusing computer competence with design skills and talent gained through training and experience.
