HGV style for Wallace Collection

The Wallace Collection, a museum located in central London at Hertford House, has appointed HGV following a three-way credentials pitch, to design exhibition identities, signage and marketing materials for the organisation.

The move supports a strategy to boost visitor numbers. HGV will be tasked with creating supplementary promotional items, such as posters and leaflets to focus on the collections and exhibitions scheduled throughout the year. The consultancy is currently working on developing an umbrella style guide, says Pierre Vermeir, creative director at HGV.

HGV will also work on signage projects and will create the different themes for exhibition environments. It will also redesign the organisation’s website, which is scheduled to launch in the autumn.

Vermeir adds, ‘It is our job to promote the uniqueness and richness of the collection and to emphasise that the collection is displayed in a beautiful house, which is the best place to see it.

‘There is much more atmosphere in Hertford House than in a conventional museum.’
