Big Brother eye gives Bower double vision

Foundation 33’s ‘hidden eye’ identity for Channel 4’s Big Brother is not as inspired as you may or may not think.

The Orwellian eye obscured by horizontal lines is allegedly a favourite of the film community and was cleverly spotted by Seven Communications’ principal Steve Bower, in a 1991 manual on film directing by Steven D Katz. Katz used a similar eye illustration in his book Shot by Shot.

Both images are hard to see up close, a bit like the show.
