Design Council director of education Moira Fraser Steele is setting up a location company and undertaking design and education consultancy work once she leaves in July (DW 31 May).

The company will serve the fashion and advertising industries and will scout for locations in and around London. It is too early to give much detail, but the work could end up being seasonal, Fraser Steele says.

Her consultancy work will continue to forge links between design practitioners and school and college education. “There are many designers willing to put things back into the industry. I want to tap into that,” she says.

She aims to use her contacts and experience in the industry and in education, she adds.
