Lumsden Design Partnership lays down interiors for Stonell showroom

Natural stone and tile specialist Stonell will open its new showroom in Battersea, south London this week, with interiors created by Lumsden Design Partnership.

The showroom plays home to a diverse range of natural stone and tiles imported from around the world and is aimed at both trade customers and the general public.

‘Stonell had very clear objectives about what [it] wanted. [The key thing] was to create unity across [its] diverse product range. We focussed on letting the stone and tiles express themselves within the retail environment using dramatic lighting and sophisticated layout,’ says LDP managing director Callum Lumsden.

The showroom space has been broken up using several large columns. A large part of the space is given over to customer consultation zones. Visitors are guided through product areas by zoned flooring that features stone, tiles, insetting and profiled surfaces.

Lumsden was awarded the project without a pitch last August.
