Olympian business

The Department of Trade and Industry has appointed a representative in Sydney to inform British companies of commercial opportunities arising from the 2000 Olympics.

Peter Bradfield is executive director of the Sydney Olympics UK Business Task Force, which cited graphic and interior design, lighting, display and exhibitions as possible areas of opportunity (DW 19 January).

Chairman of the Task Force Colin Moynihan says: ‘Our Sydney-based representative will feed back to companies – either directly or through the DTI – up to the minute information on the progress of individual Olympics projects and tenders.’

For details of opportunities in Sydney contact Gary Soper at the DTI on 0171-215 4875.
