Carol Lavender joins Identica as deputy managing director

Identica has appointed Carol Lavender to the new role of deputy managing director.

The former head of client development at Publicis Consultants will be responsible for driving new business at the consultancy.

She replaces client services director Sheona Michie and account director Alice King, who were made redundant earlier this year (DW 26 May).

Lavender will report to Identica managing director Richard Morris, and her appointment reunites her with her former Landor colleague, Identica chief executive Franco Bonadio, with whom she last worked in 2001-2.

Lavender’s former employer Publicis owns corporate design consultancy SAS, for which Lavender sat on the board. Prior to this she was managing director of SAS stablemate, branding group Carré Noir, for which she set up the London office.

Morris claims that Lavender’s appointment demonstrates a ’step-change in progress’ at Identica.
