McBride’s in charge of itself

McBride’s Design has completed a management buy-out from the Oakley Press Group. The consultancy has been purchased by a five-strong consortium of existing management and two new minority shareholders.

All eight staff keep their jobs and a new designer joins the existing six this week.

McBride’s Design managing director Gus Coulton says: “This is the opportunity we have been seeking for a long time. We now have the complete independence we needed to build the business.”

Coulton adds that the Gulf region of the Middle East is a prime target for new business. The group has already had several annual report jobs in the area.
