UKTV launches new branding and graphics by Red Bee Media for its Home channel today.

Formerly called UKTV Style, Red Bee has renamed the home and gardens channel as well as creating four idents, presentation themes, break bumpers and a promotional kit.

The idents are based around ‘home truths’, or the idea that furniture and homeware has stories to tell, according to the broadcast graphics group.

‘The concept of home truths demonstrates how each area or object of the home holds precious memories and serves a real purpose,’ says Red Bee director, creative, Andy Bryant.

Focusing on four domestic set-ups, including a family home and a flatshare, the idents feature live-action images and handwritten graphics revealing, for instance, that a sofa is ‘more comfy than the designer one’.

Red Bee has also produced a national press, poster and TV campaign to promote the relaunch, featuring the strapline ‘the new TV channel, there’s no place like it’.

Home is Red Bee’s eighth rebrand for UKTV, which owns a total of ten channels.
