Niki Turner and Bruce Munro work on Archangel restaurant
Interior and theatre designer Niki Turner is creating the interiors for Archangel, a new restaurant and six-bedroom hotel in Somerset. Bruce Munro is designing bespoke lighting pieces for the project.
Located in Frome town centre, the restaurant and hotel will take over a medieval coaching inn called The Angel.
In collaboration with Archangel owner Louise Waterfield, Turner is creating a ‘dramatic’ dining room, two private dining rooms, a library and sprawling bar rooms, according to a statement released by Archangel.
Architect Mitchell Taylor Workshops is making a glassed-in area over the medieval stables and coaching buildings.
Swedish consultancy Blonde Design is creating a visual identity and website for Archangel, which will target ‘smart shooting parties, ladies who lunch and visitors from across the world’, says the statement.
Archangel opens in early June.
