Conran Design Group, Purpose, Corporate Culture, Live and Breathe, Pin Creative, and William Joseph have been appointed as the chosen design consultancies.

The following design freelancers have also been selected: Big Jon, Gene Cooke, Gill Sales, Paula Sayer, and Tracey Goodland.

Cancer Research says, ‘Several agencies have already been briefed to work on a number of projects.’

SomeOne co-founder Simon Manchipp says, ‘We’re working on a couple of live briefs’ and adds, ‘We’re also taking an overview of the brand with regards to any branded activity and we’ll be making it work as hard as we can creatively to make sure that every penny counts.’

The film production groups which have been named comprise Buddy, Conran Design Group, Green Lions, Orillo Productions, Stripe, The Bank, and Whispering Bob Broadcasting Company.

Prior to the creation of this roster Cancer Research UK has worked ad hoc with design consultancies depending on the project. It says, ‘We are taking the opportunity to create a preferred list of suppliers who are proven to deliver the most outstanding work and best value-for-money.’

Kate Eden, head of brand at Cancer Research UK says, ‘In our relentless fight to beat cancer sooner, we need to deliver our inspiring brand message across every area of our organisation.

‘These creative partnerships will strengthen our connection with our extensive range of audiences, helping us to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.’

Interbrand created a new identity and repositioned Cancer Research in 2012 to give the charity what it calls ‘a braver, bolder and more confident’ positioning.
