Gough to become DW publisher

Design Week has announced that Declan Gough is returning to become its next publisher.

Gough, who is currently publisher of Design Week’s sister titles Precision Marketing and Data Strategy at Centaur Media, established himself in the design industry during the early 1990s, when he became the associate publisher of Design Week. He held the position until the beginning of 1996.

Centaur Media publishing director Roger Beckett says, ‘Declan has tremendous experience in publishing across print, on-line, exhibitions, events and awards. He will be joining Design Week at a very exciting time, as we build on the successful launch of designweek.co.uk, and plan our on-line strategy for the year ahead.’

‘It’s very exciting to be coming back to Design Week, particularly now when there is so much opportunity to develop the Design Week brand in the fast-evolving world of multi-channel media,’ Gough says.

His appointment follows the departure of Morag Welham, who left the title in January to spend more time with her family in Kent.
