Ecobuild show kicks off

The Ecobuild trade show, aimed at promoting sustainable design and construction, kicks off at London’s Earls Court today.

Organised by Innovations for the Built Environment, Futurecity and Cityscape, and supported by the Royal Institute of British Architects, the fair will feature 500 exhibitors, 500 speakers and 75 seminars.

The design and perform seminar programme, led by speakers including designer Oliver Heath, will explore the adaptation of interiors and materials for climate change, through a series of case studies, lectures and discussions.

Attractions including The Zero Carbon House, Natural Materials Live, Sustainable Regeneration in Action and Green Shoots aim to demonstrate products by recreating experiences and visions of what sustainable design and construction can achieve.

The fair runs until Thursday 28 February.
