The opening of the first  Natuzzi flagship store on London’s Finchley Road in April, will be bolstered by ambitious expansion plans, following the rebrand of Kingdom of Leather.

The store will be the first rebranded Natuzzi standalone shop in London, located in north London’s ‘interiors mecca’. At over 750m2 and on three floors, it will be followed by about ten more new stores in town centres within the M25 over the next few years. Until now there has been a question mark over whether the name would be applied at the retail level.

The store is one of a number of recent openings worldwide, including New York, Paris, Cologne, Dubai and Beijing. In the UK, Natuzzi has concessions in Selfridges and Harrods and other stores in Croydon and Thurrock.

Designed by the retailer’s in-house team, the flagship building’s interior and exterior will be designed to display the firm’s trademark leather sofas, armchairs and recliners. The team will use natural light, wood, steel and glass to create a contemporary shopping environment.

Natuzzi was founded in 1959 in Italy by Pasquale Natuzzi, who still oversees all product design at the group’s style centre in Santerno.
