Marcel Wanders works on Moooi’s UK headquarters

The brand, which recently opened showrooms in Antwerp and Milan, will open its offices at Portobello Dock on 16 September to coincide with the London Design Festival.

Moooi co-founder Marcel Wanders will provide creative direction on the interiors of the new headquarters and showroom. The canal-side space is inside a Grade II-listed stucco building and will house both new and iconic Moooi products.

Dutch resin flooring specialist Senso will be sharing the 250m2 space with Moooi. To mark the opening, Senso will launch a new flooring range designed by Wanders, which is printed to give a three-dimensional illusion.

The brand aims to produce a user-friendly hub for the city’s architectural and design industry.

Moooi chief executive Casper Vissers says, ‘Moooi is just in the beginning stages in London. To grow further we need the visibility of the product that will allow the team to work more closely with our existing and potential clients.’
