iPhone frenzy

Never mind the 600 people queuing outside Regent Street’s Apple flagship store at 7am to get their hands on the fourth incarnation of the iPhone – the madness hit our very own Design Week headquarters this morning.

The local O2 outlet was opening shop to a patient snake of iPhone hopefuls – ‘you should see the Apple store’, they piped up in defiance.

But if you’re yet to join the frenzy, think twice before heading to London’s Wells Street. Half way up the road, there was news from the perky O2 employee to the waiting iPhone geeks of a four-hour wait, and five metres on it was four-and-a-half – madness indeed.

For those who are successful, we suggest heading down to SW19 for good measure and joining in the queuing fun there – you might as well make a day of it.
