The Change Your World campaign aims to encourage participants to cover 24 900 miles collectively – equivalent to circumnavigating the globe.
Precedent, which was appointed in April following a three-way pitch, has developed a site with a ‘timeline’, showing a user’s profile, chosen mode of transport and distance pledged. Sustrans puts the project out to tender annually.
The consultancy pitched the concept as well as designing the look and feel, and developing the functionality, according to Ed Richards, lead designer on the project.
Posters and postcards have also been designed for the campaign, which will run until 4 July.
The site, at www.changeyourworld.org.uk, is backdropped by different vistas, including a desert, a mountain range and a cityscape.
Richards says, ‘The idea was to create an engaging community site which was bright, vibrant and relevant to different kinds of travel around the world.’
Twitter and Facebook feeds replicate pledge information and link into the site, which is also bilingual – in English and Welsh.
