Swedish group Acne to open London studio

Swedish lifestyle brand and design collective Acne will open a new studio in London this summer.

Acne, which is best known for its denim clothing ranges and biannual magazine Acne Paper, launched a furniture range in May, inspired by classic Swedish furniture designers, including Carl Malmsten.

The London space, which will be located in a four-storey house in Mayfair, will be Acne’s largest studio space and will feature all of its concepts, including furniture, women’s clothing and menswear, and denim.

Acne has commissioned American artist Jerimiah Goodman to recreate the Acne headquarters in Stockholm and Acne creative director Jonny Johansson’s office within the new studio space. The building will also include a gallery, roof terrace and garden.

Johansson says, ‘Ever since we formed Acne we always talked about a house with different levels of creativity to house all of our artistic endeavours.’
