UK groups bag Cannes Design Lions Awards

There were four UK winners in this year’s Cannes Design Lions Awards, and Belgian group Happiness Brussels picked up the Grand Prix for its IQ Font project for Toyota.

UK groups won two gold medals, with Leo Burnett London picking one up for its House of Cards identity for Shelter, and The Chase bagging one for its self-promotional Bending the Rules work.

CHI & Partners picked up a silver award for its Brightdancing work for Talk Talk, and Wieden & Kennedy London picked up a bronze for its Future A-Z 2109 window display for Selfridges.

There were a total of 1297 entries in this year’s Design Lions, with 110 projects shortlisted.

The Design Lions jury was chaired by Steff Geissbuhler, partner at C&G Partners, and also featured Glenn Tutssel, executive creative director of The Brand Union.
