Daylesford set to expand

Organic food and produce store Daylesford Organic is set for expansion following reports that it is to join forces with organic supermarket chain Planet Organic.

Last month, Daylesford Organic opened a three-storey shop in Pimlico, designed by Spencer Fung Architects.

Reports now indicate that Daylesford is to unveil a butchers’ department in Planet Organic’s Westbourne Grove store, in Notting Hill. The move comes as Fresh & Wild owner Whole Foods Market is preparing to open its first organic superstore on Kensington High Street in London.

Daylesford Organic currently boasts a farm shop and café in Staffordshire, a small farm shop in Selfridges food hall, a café in Sloane Square and a nursery in Maida Vale.

The Pimlico store features an eco-friendly concept, with an atrium and a food gallery with rustic wood fencing.

Daylesford’s traditional branding and packaging is by Teresa Roviras Creative Design. The products are used by department store Selfridges and Claridges hotel.

Planet Organic currently has three stores in London.
