Dutch design conference opens next week

Design Indaba’s latest event, the Creative Company Conference, takes place in Amsterdam next week.

The day and evening seminar is intended as a forum for multinational brands that place innovation, creativity and design at the centre of their strategies, according to the organisers.

Three Dutch design consultancies – Fabrique, Lava and Ontwerpwerk – will host a session on ‘design thinking’, while Bill Moggridge, co-founder of consultancy Ideo, will be the sole representative of non-Dutch design.

Joining the designers on the podium will be Coca-Cola senior vice-president of global brand marketing Marc Mathieu, Starbuck vice-president of global creative Stanley Hainsworth, Innocent Drinks founder Richard Reed, Nandos founder Robert Brozin and Disney vice-president Ivy Ross.

Around 750 delegates are expected to attend the event.

Design Indaba founder Ravi Naidoo decided against bringing the event to London after receiving ‘great support from Amsterdam City Council as well as its design organisations and media houses,’ he told Design Week last year.

The Creative Company Conference takes place at the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam on 1 April.
