Genesis One creates champagne bar Moose

Drawing inspiration from ski lodges in the Whistler mountain resort of British Columbia, Canada, the 300-capacity bar features wooden-clad backlit walls and recessed images of mountain scenes.

Arranged over two levels, the smaller ground-floor features a champagne and cocktail bar with a turfed outside space.

The basement bar contains holographic technology allowing virtual 3D fashion shows, as well as a dance floor and tables hewn from tree trunks.

Owner Hussein Aziz has tasked Genesis One director Deon Jeffers with creating a Moose ‘play room’ that will launch at a later date. The self-contained VIP room will feature its own intercom entry system, multimedia centre, skylight and a bed. ‘The design is a bit more slick and technological than the rest of the bar, and pretty much anything goes in this room,’ says a spokesman for Moose.
