The International Council of Societies of Industrial Design has launched the application process to find World Design Capital 2016.
The biennial programme aims to help cities promote and develop design projects, including urban design work.
World Design Capital for 2014 will be Cape Town in South Africa. The Cape Town organisers say they want to use the city’s design resources to address its Apartheid past and ‘make it a more liveable African city’.
Applications for the World Design Capital 2016 title are open until 30 April 2013. More information on the application process can be found at www.worlddesigncapital.com.
