A sticky situation
If like two-thirds of Design Week you’ve already resigned yourself to spending most of your wages on Panini World Cup stickers, you’d do well to make sure you actually complete the damn thing.
Interactive consultancy Sennep has set its sights on this problem and created Sticker Swapping, a website which helps you through the beautiful, torturous and costly process of completing the album.
Principally it allows you to exchange your swapsies (swaps) by post or in person with other collectors.
On joining up you create a profile, and check off all the stickers you have, including swapsies. Your profile is matched up against those of other collectors before some number crunching and geo-location wizardry takes place and you are presented with a friend in need, down the road if you’re lucky – as seen here. (We’ve just started so only have one to swap.)
Sennep has honed the design from one they made for Euro 2012 and World Cup 2010. Back then we turned to their swapping service after draws were overflowing and fire exits were being blocked by mountains of stickers.
