Miele opens try-before-you-buy London store

Domestic technology company Miele is opening a new experiential showroom in London’s Cavendish Place, with retail design by its in-house team.

The Miele Gallery London store will allow customers to try out items including ovens, hobs, washing machines and dishwashers before they buy them.

‘A range of fully live machines will enable visitors to try them out as they would be used at home,’ says Miele. Visitors to the store will be encouraged to wash and dry items of their own clothing, or to cook their own meals in the store.

The 214m2 outlet is being developed by Miele’s in-house architects Henrik Bruelmann and Kirstin Shewe, who are based in Germany. They consulted with the centre manager Nicky Youngjohns on the project.

The Miele Gallery London will open its doors on 8 December.
