Made in Clerkenwell
Craft Central’s Made in Clerkenwell open studios and selling event returns this month, with more than 100 UK designer-makers showing off their wares.
The four-day event is held at Craft Central’s Victorian buildings, which will be opened up so members of the public can meet the designers in their studios and find out about the work they’ve created.
It’s accurately billed by the organisers as the perfect opportunity to see the process of making – and get your Christmas shopping done at the same time.
There’s a strong jewellery design focus in this year’s show, with work from Sarah Herriott (pictured) and Sonia Cheadle among others.
Another central theme is for interior products – such as Esther Coombs’ illustrated cake-stands and Michelle Mason’s London-inspired products.
Also on show will be prints from Vic Lee and ‘bizarre and exquisite’ ceramics from Ikuko Iwamoto (pictured).
Made in Clerkenwell runs from 24-27 November at Craft Central, London EC1R.
