Ripe Design has appointed the architect Gordon Carey as its non-executive chairman.

Ripe specialises in property marketing and has collaborated with Carey on several projects, including Clarence Dock in Leeds.

‘Gordon’s appointment formalises the link between the architect’s vision and the creation of marketing campaigns and brand identities for commercial, residential and regeneration developments,’ says Ripe managing director Alex Murray.

Carey is founder of Careyjones architects, and holds the presidency of the British Council for Offices. He is also a board member of the British Urban Regeneration Association.
